It was a very sunny if breezy day for the Wivenhoe Wander.

The walk went well with people taking advantage of the various distance options. We began the morning with 12 people.

Tony left us at Wivenhoe and Gerry stayed behind, while 10 of us went on to Arlesford creek.

On return to Wivenhoe, Paul, Ly and Mike opted for the train, while the remaining 8 of us took the 5-mile path back to Colchester.

We had a bit of a challenge on the way back: a very strong high tide had overflowed a ditch and spilled over the path. We had a choice of wading through or trying to walk on a wobbly plank, which led to some very graceful (and some less graceful) acrobatics!
