Day 8: Skiddaw House hostel to Keswick, 7 miles
Our final day of the trip was short as we had the long journey home to Suffolk ahead and a friend to visit at Barnard Castle on the way.
We took the direct route up to Skiddaw over Sale How.
There were panoramic views south towards Derwent Water…
…and west to Bassenthwaite Lake from Skiddaw summit.
We took the short diversion over Little Man before descending down to Keswick.
Several paragliders were taking the quick route down…
…but we took the slightly longer route down the track and then followed the Cumbria way to complete our tour.
